Productivity improvement with use of beam gas compressor: pilot test in Southeastern Europe mature field
Most of the wells in the oilfield Turija are operating with sucker rod pumps, where casing pressure at around 15 bar, and with marginal production rates. The high value of casing pressure indicates high pressure on the face of the formation and depends directly on well productivity. In addition, with increasing value of the casing pressure gas column in the annulus is moving the dynamic fluid level near pump intake and more gas is entering the pump, it results ...beam gas compressor, BGC, increase productivity, sucker rod pump, SRP, mature field, artificial lift, production optimisationBojan Martinović, Dušan Danilović, Branko Grubač, Robert Fadiga. Hybrid Model for Optimisation of Waste Dump Design and Site Selection in Open Pit Mining
Aleksandar Doderovic, Svetozar-Milan Doderovic, Sasa Stepanovic, Mirjana Bankovic, Dejan Stevanovic (2023)Waste management is an unavoidable technological operation in the process of raw material extraction. The main characteristic of this technological operation is the handling of large quantities of waste material, which can amount to several hundred million cubic metres. At the same time, this operation must comply with all administrative and environmental standards. Therefore, optimising waste rock management (particularly haulage and dumping) has the potential to significantly improve the overall value of the project. This paper presents a hybrid ...Aleksandar Doderovic, Svetozar-Milan Doderovic, Sasa Stepanovic, Mirjana Bankovic, Dejan Stevanovic. Long-term planning methodology for improving wood biomass utilization
The insufficiently developed forest management system is often followed by undeveloped forest resources supply chain and insufficient institutional support. These cause inefficient usage of fuel-wood as well as huge amounts of unused forest residues. In order to achieve optimal and long-term sustainable utilisation of biomass, an original methodology based on the interaction of mathematical optimization and backcasting approach has been developed. Mathematical optimization is used for both generation and consideration of techno-economic parameters of the forest biomass supply chain. ...Vladimir Vukašinović, Dušan Gordić, Marija Živković, Davor Koncalović, Dubravka Živković. Mine ventilation system planning using genetic algorithms
The most common problem in contemporary mining practice related to the planning and analysis of ventilation systems is the optimization of partially regulated air distribution in mine ventilation networks. This paper presents a two step optimization procedure for partly regulated air distribution in mine ventilation networks. The first step is the determination of air distribution in all branches using the well known Hardy-Cross method. In the second step the distribution and parameters of air flow regulators with minimum engaged ...coal, lignite, and peat; ventilation systems; coal mining; underground mining; ventilation; mathematical models; design; air flow; optimization; calculation methodsNikola Lilić, Ranka Stanković, Ivan Obradović.
Identification of the Best Available Renewable Energy Source for Electricity Production in Serbia
Around 2/3 of electricity production in Serbia originates from coal-fired thermal power plants. The most significant domestic coal deposits are lignite deposits, a type of low -quality coal that causes negative health, climate and environmental impacts during the combustion.
